Christian Vega, Esq.
Christian is an experienced attorney in removal defense, family-based immigration services, and criminal law. A native Virginian, Christian is the son of Mexican and Bolivian parents, and fluent in Spanish.
Christian earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mary Washington, in International Affairs with a minor in Economics. Christian earned his law degree from the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law. During law school, Christian participated in the Children’s’ Defense Clinic. He represented juveniles under Virginia’s Third Year Practice Rule. Christian also worked for former Governor of Virginia Terry McAuliffe’s Office of Legal Counsel as a legal intern. In law school, Christian received the CALI Excellence Certificate in his Negotiations Course for the highest student grade. In 2018, Christian was admitted to the Virginia State Bar. From 2018-2021, Christian worked for the Law Offices of Robert K. Lacy as an Associate Attorney. From 2021 to 2023, Christian worked as a prosecuting attorney for Prince William County’s Prosecutor Office, and then the Fairfax County’s Prosecutor Office. Christian rejoined our Office in 2023.
Christian’s expertise in immigration law has seen him represent hundreds of clients in Immigration Courts across the country. Christian is experienced in representing clients in all forms of defensive immigration applications including: Asylum, Withholding of Removal, Cancellation of Removal for Non-Permanent Residents, Cancellation of Removal for Permanent Residents, and Adjustment of Status to Permanent Residency. Christian has successfully helped clients win Asylum, Withholding of Removal, Deferral of Removal, and Residency in Immigration Court. Christian also has experience helping clients secure their release on bond from ICE Immigration Detention as well as helping clients stay deportation orders from ICE/Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).
Christian expertise extends to appeals of immigration court decisions before the Board of Immigration Court of Appeals (the BIA). He has represented dozens of clients on appeal, and worked on remanding cases back to the Immigration Court. Christian has also helped clients in spousal petitions, residency, and naturalization applications and interviews before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Office (USCIS). He has helped clients successfully defend rescission of their residency or naturalization status by USCIS. Christian has navigated civil immigration litigation in federal district court, working with U.S. Attorneys’ Offices in order to force USCIS to finalize and decide pending residency and naturalization applications. Christian is part of the Office’s Family Court team, representing clients in uncontested custody cases in family courts across the state.

Christian lives in Virginia with his wife and daughter. He enjoys swimming, trying local breweries and wineries, and traveling.
